1. Wear it. The best thing you can do to keep sterling jewelry looking in top shape is to actually wear it! Plus, what's the use of having beautiful things if they're just stuck in a box somewhere.
2. Keep your sterling items in zippered plastic bags to avoid tarnishing. This keeps the air away from the sterling so it stays shiny and bright longer.
3. Clean with natural cleaners. Be careful with the commercial sterling cleaners. Try using some non abrasive toothpaste with a soft cloth to clean any tarnishing silver.
